What is Menstrual Solidarity?

As organisations in the social and development sector, we have our own goals and targets set. However, the overarching goal remains the same: we want to create a just, fair & equal world for all.

At Project Baala, we believe that creating solutions for dignified and sustainable menstruation is a key element to forming a just and equitable world. However, we know that to create efficient and effective transformation, we cannot and must not work in isolation. Thus was born the concept of ‘Menstrual Solidarity’.

Arising from our common ideals, common interests and common responsibilities, Baala is building a network of like-minded organisations. These organisations are vetted by the team, trained to become menstrual health advocates and take on the responsibility of taking menstrual hygiene solutions to the innermost pockets of India, and now the world. Through this, the organisations are able to refine their own projects via the capacity building sessions and can showcase their work on a larger platform.

Our overarching goal is to create a movement of organisations passionate about building safe, secure and welcoming spaces for all. Together, we stand hand in hand, determined to make menstruation a non-issue in this lifetime.

We are excited to have you join us.
